Oh, the Joy of an Impending PD Day
A tournament, a tournament, a tournament of lies
Offer me solutions, offer me alternatives, and
I decline.

Massive Update.

My life has been kind of eventful lately, in the kind of way where you are only living your regular, every-day life, but you still have a lot to say for yourself at the end of the day.

Dancing has been amazing. I love it so much. Last weeks classes had been harder for me than normal, because I have just been so, so tired. I could feel it in every move I made. But yesterday, oh boy, it was great. I had a 20-minute nap before class, and I felt so great afterwards. I was re-energized, and it helped me out so much. I think Im going to have to start making time to do that before every class.

School has been good, too. Busy and sometimes kind of stressful, but I can't complain. I really, truly love my new school. The people are great and the teachers are great and the atmosphere is so awesome. Today we had a Mass at school, with this priest from New Orleans, and it was so cool. The priest, Father Tony, was hilarious, and a really great speaker. He tells it like it is, and he tells it in a way that teenagers are not only interested, but really enjoying listening to him. It was so great. I think I like this catholic school business.

I've been reading Dude, Where's my Country by Michale Moore. I know, it's not really a typical choice for me, as 1) I am not American and 2) I have never before expressed any sort of interest in politics of any kind, but lately I've been hearing a lot about American politics and in CALM we were discussing the War in Iraq (or On Iraq, depending on which country you're from. I learned from my CALM teacher that while the Canadians call it the War IN Iraq, the Americans call it the War ON Iraq, which I think says a lot about the nature of the war and the intentions the American President has concerning the war. Or something. I'm still bad at this whole "having an opinion" business) I'm learning a whole lot from the book. It's a very anti-bush book, and I know that Michael Moore is quite biased in his opinions, but from what I've read I think that it presents really good reasons for one to oppose George Bush and the things he is doing (although that makes sense as it is a book that, duh, is anti-bush). I don't know. It's interesting, though. I'm almost disgusted at some parts. And it's not that difficult to understand. I mean, some books on politics and such are very dry and full of psychobabble that makes absolutely no sense, but this is put into words in such a way that it's easy to read and understand, and its enjoyable and sometimes funny as well.

Yay for books.

Honestly, if I could spend my entire life savings on books, I probably would.

I have a pd-day tomorrow, which brings me immense joy.

The end.
