Uuuuuuggghhhh. I went to the orthodontist today for a referral. They recommend I get braces on my top and bottom teeth as well as elastics to adjust my jaw. I would have to wear them for about two years and then I would need a retainer for three years after that. Lucky me. I kind of want braces though, I really want to have straight teeth. And I'd much rather get them now and have them off at the beginning of Grade Eleven than wait and have a metal-mouth for Graduation. [I can't believe I'm talking about Grad already...I'm only in the ninth grade! But I guess you've got to think ahead. Hah.] My Mom is pretty much all for it, but my Dad? Well....in his opinion nobody needs braces - it's all a big huge enormous money-making scam [and, trust me, braces are pricey. My jaw dropped to the floor when they gave us the estimate today.] and ther recommend that everyone gets braces just so that orthodontists all over the world can make money. .::rolls eyes::.
