I've been reading all of my blog entries, and have come to the conclusion that I have some serious lightening-up to do. Believe it or not, not everything in my life is BAD. It's FAR FROM IT. IN ALL SERIOUSNESS, I AM SOOOOO LUCKY TO HAVE THE LIFE THAT I HAVE. I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO UNBEILEVABLY LUCKY. I HAVE TO START PAYING FAR MORE ATTENTION TO THE GOOD THINGS IN MY LIFE - WHICH ARE MANY.

Since spending the weekend at the lake with all of my relatives, I have really, really come to realize just how good I have it. My cousins are all well-off, happy, healthy people. For my entire life, I've wanted to have what they had, be what they were. But after seeing the way one of my cousins was treated by her Mom, and seeing the way that one of my other cousins spent the entire time talking about herself, and hearing stories about friends that have had parents die, or relatives that are sick or divorced or troubled somehow - I've got none of these problems. My biggest problem is my failure to recognize just how blessed I am in my life.
